This Lenten season, The Garden invites you to take part in a devotional program with paintings and letters of Vincent van Gogh as our guides. Each week, biblical passages and pieces of Van Gogh’s work throw light on each other, pointing toward simple, powerful practices you can try yourself, with your family or friends, or with your faith community. Week by week, we’ll travel this Lenten journey together toward Easter morning – and thereby do our part to help lengthen the light, humble our hearts, and open our eyes to the beauty and grace of springtime rebirth. We will also host a movie night and a trip to the Lume.


Gardeners may also choose from several Lenten-themed offerings over the next several weeks:

Tuesdays Through April 12 ONLINE at 2:00 Tuesdays on Facebook Live and at here on this website. Join Pastor Carolyn to reflect on van Gogh's devotion and practices.


Wednesdays Beginning March 9 IN PERSON at 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays from March 9 to April 16, a Traditional Worship experience will be offered in the Sanctuary. Hymns, organ music, prayer, and a brief message brought by a variety of pastors, leaders, and musicians to inspire you for faithful living. This service may continue beyond Easter if there is sufficient interest and attendance.


Wednesday, March 9 IN PERSON 6:30 p.m. Faith and Art – Painting with Lisa and Kim.


Wednesday, March 16 IN PERSON 6:30 p.m. Movie Night: Loving Vincent.


Wednesday, March 23 IN PERSON 6:30 p.m. Conversation on The Lume with IMA Docent Joanne Jones.


Thursday, April 14 IN PERSON Holy Thursday Worship at 7 p.m. in the Sanctuary. A multi-sensory worship event to draw us close to the events of the final days of Jesus’ earthly life and prepare us for the Easter Sunday Celebration.


Friday, April 15 IN PERSON Good Friday, April 15 at 7 p.m. The Good Earth Band brings the message of Good Friday to life as only they can do with meaningful music, song and message. This year’s service will feature a large art project in conjunction with the service.
